Sequalitchew Creek Trail

This week we went for a nice walk on the Sequalitchew Creek trail on two separate occasions. Robyn calls it the best value trail we’ve been on, meaning that it has a lot to see in a short distance. We passed lots of greenery, including another nurse tree and some blackberry bushes (Afton’s favorite part.) We saw an owl and tons of ants with huge mounds. The trail ends by passing through a tunnel under some railroad tracks that leads to the Puget Sound. The Sound was beautiful. There were crabs under almost every rock and lots of barnacles (Afton called them “popcorn.”) There was a seal in the water and we saw fish jumping.
