Before the flight, Afton loved walking with Mom's help, pointing at things and babbling.
As we boarded, they announced that not everyone registered had checked in for the flight. So we strategized about how to snag an extra seat (we flew Southwest). We chose a row near the back and put Afton between us on the middle seat. As Robyn said, we won the lottery and that one seat was the only empty one on the flight.
Afton did fall asleep early into the flight, but it didn't last long.
For much of the flight, she was content play.
She had fun eating snacks
And Mommy's ice.
She also enjoyed watching the other passengers on board.
But there was also a time when we were those annoying fellow passengers with the loudly crying, inconsolable baby.
We tried hard to help her sleep.
It didn't make her feel any better when I opened my water bottle and the pressure difference caused a geyser to erupt straight into her eye.
All in all, it wasn't bad. We are blessed with a sweet, well-behaved baby.
